Privacy Policy Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 July 2026

TestCircle (“we”, “us”) helps developers pass Google Play’s closed-testing requirement by testing each other’s apps, with real usage verification. This policy explains what we collect and why.

1. Who can use TestCircle

You must be at least 13 (16 in the EU/UK) and have a Google account you use in the Google Play Store.

2. Information we collect

3. Usage Access permission (important)

With your explicit permission, TestCircle uses Android’s Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) to confirm that a test really happened. When you tap “Verify”, we read how long a specific app you are testing was in the foreground today, and count the test only if it was used for at least 30 seconds.

We only compute a pass/fail result for that one app. We do NOT collect, store or transmit a history of your general app or device usage, and we do not use this permission for advertising or analytics. You can turn Usage Access off at any time in your phone’s Settings.

4. How we use your information

5. How your information is shared

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see section 8).

7. Security

Data is protected by Firebase security rules so that only you can change your own account, and credit changes are handled by our secure server. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; while we take reasonable measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security and, to the extent permitted by law, are not liable for unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control.

8. Your rights & deleting your account

You can access, correct or delete your data at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, open the app and go to Settings → Delete account & data — this removes your account, credits, listed apps and related data immediately. You can also email testcircle.support@gmail.com to request deletion. EU/UK users have additional rights under GDPR, including data portability.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.

By using TestCircle you agree to these terms and to our community rules below.

1. What we do (and don’t) promise

TestCircle helps you meet Google Play’s closed-testing requirement (12+ testers for 14 continuous days). We do not control Google and cannot guarantee that Google will grant your app production access — that decision is Google’s.

2. Set up your closed test correctly

Before listing an app, add our Google Group to your Play Console closed-testing track and use the correct opt-in link. If your test is misconfigured, testers can’t access your app and you may waste credits.

3. Credits

4. Squad rules

5. Honest testing

Test apps in good faith — actually install and use them. Do not attempt to fake usage verification or game the system. Abuse may result in lost credits or a suspended account.

6. Your content

You are responsible for the apps and content you list, and you confirm you have the right to share them. Don’t upload anything unlawful, harmful or infringing.

7. Managed (paid) testing

Managed testing is an optional paid service, purchased in-app through Google Play Billing, where we run your closed test using our tester pool for the plan’s window. We provide the committed testers and daily usage described in the plan; we do not and cannot guarantee that Google will grant production access. Payments and refunds are handled by Google Play under its terms.

8. Disclaimer — “as is”, no warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We do not warrant that using TestCircle will result in Google granting production access, that any app will pass Google’s review, or that testers will behave in any particular way.

9. Third-party apps, content & services

TestCircle is a platform that connects developers. We do not create, own, endorse, control or vet the apps, links or content that members list. You install and test other members’ apps at your own risk, and we are not responsible for any harm, data loss, malware or damage arising from them. We also rely on third-party services (including Google, Firebase and the Google Play Store) and are not responsible for their availability, actions or changes.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TestCircle and its operators, affiliates and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, credits, developer-account standing, app rejection or business, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service — even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, in the 3 months before the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TestCircle and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your apps or content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Governing law & severability

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India for any dispute, to the extent permitted by law. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for fraud or gross negligence, or rights that consumer- or data-protection law makes non-excludable).

13. Changes & termination

We may update these terms or suspend accounts that break the rules. Continued use means you accept the current terms.
